Surveys & Diagnostic Instruments
Sequus International
Management: Consulting Education Development
Sequus has been on the forefront of developing standardized organizational surveys and customized diagnostic tools for a long time. We have developed this side of our business to the point where it can stand alone. We have created a separate website at www.sequussurveys.com   When you go there, this is a sample of what you will find...

TWO-SCALE MEASURES
Our surveys use two scales to measure each surveyed item. One scale measures the 'importance' of an item in organizational or individual effectiveness; the other measures 'performance' on the same item. This allows us to uncover STRENGTHS (important items where performance is high) and AREAS IN NEED OF IMPROVEMENT (important items where performance is low). It also helps us to identify high performance items that have no impact on success! And low performance items that do not matter.  This level of diagnosis permits organizations to focus energy on the critical few factors that have positive impact and to ignore all others.

Our organization diagnostic survey gets at the core of the factors that lead to organizational success. It questions everything from front-line service delivery, to strategic leadership, to organizational culture and committment, to management practices, to human resource development, to financial management and so on. We uncover what is important to organizational success and then look at how well your organization delivers on those important elements.

SEQUUS' survey of Management Training and Development needs is the most sophisticated instrument of its kind.  It has been translated into several languages including French, Spanish, Indonesian and Swahili. It has been customized hundreds of times to adapt the special needs of clients. And it has enjoyed the ultimate form of flattery, our competitors regularly copy it! I

We work a great deal with volunteer boards of directors. Our Board Diagnostic Survey is an excellent tool for assessing a Board's development against a standard set of critieria. The survey results pinpoint problem areas and suggest solutions.

Organizations with large memberships can lose touch with the rank and file. Our survey diagnosis a set of standard factors such as education, conferences, basic service, information, value-for-fees, publications, insurance, certification, professional updates, participation, leadership and so on.

Based on several reviews of what employers want in their workers, this survey allows an organization to take stock of its front line workforce on several key performance dimensions.

We specialize in producing tailored surveys based on a bank of standardized factors and clusters that we have developed over many years. You will be surprised at how quickly we can develop an instrument that meets your specific needs, yet has the look and credibility of a published document.

Are you a leader or a manager? Our diagnostic questionnaire comes in two versions; one you complete on yourself, the other is completed by someone who knows you in a work setting.
.

This instrument measures leadership behaviors in non-hierarchical relationships as in teams, projects, service delivery, consulting, colleague-to-colleague, counseling and so on.

This set of instruments are designed to look specifically at consultant-client relationships. It looks at four behaviour patterns; CONSULTANT-CENTERED, CLIENT-CENTERED, COLLABORATION and EXPLORATION and provides advice on when to use each. There is a 'self' and 'other' version and a scoring guide.

Sequus directors are often asked to provide instruction and counsel on the impact of personality types in workplace realtionships, communication, decision-making, culture and so on. Our favourite tool is the "COMMON SENSE" instrument but we also use The Myers - Briggs type indicator and several others.

Our HIgh Performance Workplace diagnostic survey allows you to assess a series of organizational practices known to be associated with organizational success. We have developed two questionnaires to collect information. One is completed by managers and the other by frontline staff.

... and we have many more surveys on our new website!!!!
