WORKPLACE OF CHOICE DIAGNOSITIC TOOLS
SEQUUS has been involved with the Province of Manitoba's new initiative to improve the human resource management practices of small to medium size businesses. We have developed most of the diagnostic tools for this program and have an agreement with the Province that allows us to make those tools available to others.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING
We have been working with this new technology for more than a year and can now offer the following services...
- CONSULTING ADVICE: We have helped many clients think through how they might use online surveys to give staff, clients, suppliers, partners and other important stakeholders an opportunity to have structured, measured input into decision- making. We have discovered that one of the main barriers to the use of surveys has been the time required to develop them, the time required to complete them and the time required to analyse the results. Old fashioned paper and pencil questionnaires are intimidating and cumbersome. Data enty is a major task that is time-consuming and expensive. Our experience with this new technology has given us what we need to remove these barriers and make surveying fun, fast and productive. When we show clients that we can get a new survey developed and launched in a couple of days their confidence rises. When we track response rates and show that people are responding in high numbers, confidence rises even further. When clients see that respondents are looking after their own "data entry" by going online they are often amazed. And when clients see that the analysis of results is happening instantly and changes as each new participant responds, they know they are not going to get a big bill for a consultant's report.
- ACCESS TO STANDARDIZED QUESTIONNAIRES: One of the major costs in the survey process is for consultants to design and develop the survey instrument. Because Sequus has developed dozens of online instruments to perform such tasks as assess training needs of managers, diagnose organiation performance, collect input for strategic planning and gather feedback from customers or clients, we can reduce design time dramatically by using an instrument that we know already works. - CUSTOMIZATION OF STANDARDIZED QUESTIONNAIRES: With very little time, each of our standardized questionnaires can be modified to accomodate special needs.
- START FROM SCRATCH WITH A BRAND NEW QUESTIONNAIRE: Many clients want to start with a blank sheet of paper and build a questionnaire to deal with a very specific need. That's the way all of our standard instruments began. We have become very good at quickly building new surveys that clients find fun, fast and functional.
- USING SURVEY RESULTS TO MAKE DECISIONS: We got into this because we are meeting facilitators. We run hundreds of meetings during which committed, competent people make tough decisions. The need for structured data collection and analysis came out of that experience. We now know that the meetings we lead make better, informed decisions faster because of our use of online surveys. We can put that know-how to use for you in helping you determine what you will do with your survey results.
GETTING STARTED The process for most users is to contact Sequus by phone at 204 389-4149 or by e-mailing Al Holmes at al_holmes@mts.net You will be asked to describe your needs, a price will be quoted, and a method of payment arranged. Once we have agreed on the survey design and the questionnaire contents, a link will be sent to you by e-mail with instructions. We will show you how to get this link on to your website or send it out in an email to a targeted group of respondents. Once responses start to roll in, we will show you how to access the survey results.
